Meet our instructors

Casey Nakama has been a golf professional since 1985, Casey traveled on the Asian Tour during the late 80’s and early 90’s. He was a Ben Hogan / PGA Tour member and a winner of local tournaments including the Hilo Invitational, the Hawaii State Open, the JAL Rainbow Open, the Makaha Open, the Maui Open, the Mid-Pacific Open, and the Waikoloa Open, to name just a few.


Casey has been a golf instructor since 1992 and has mentored many juniors over the years. In 2003, Casey received an honorary distinction by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top golf instructors for the State of Hawaii. In 2015, he was inducted into the Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame.

Lance Suzuki has been a golf professional since 1973. His accolades include being named an NCAA 1st Team All American while he was a student at BYU in Utah, as well as having been a PGA Tour member and the winner of more than 40 local tournaments (too many to name). To give back to his community, Lance was one the original founders of the Kahuku Junior Golf Association, and has been a junior golf instructor since 1995.

In 2001, he was inducted into the Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame.

Philip Chun has been a golf professional since 1995. He is the 1987 State Amateur Champion, as well as the 1993 Rainbow Open Champion. Philip is one of Hawaii’s top golf professionals.

Todd Rego has been a golf professional since 2013.  He is the 2001 & 2010 Army Invitational Champion and 2014 & 2016 Assistants Four Ball Champion.  Todd has been with Pearl Country Club since 2000.
